Jellyfish

Her is a report that I did about a jellyfish.

JELLYFISH
Jellyfish are a fast animal and are part of the phylum
Cnidaria family.

Jellyfish are carnivores. The small jellyfish eat plankton. When they are hungry they get their food from under the sea. The bigger jellyfish also eat fish, crabs and shrimps.

All jellyfish come in different colours and sizes. Jelly fish are like an umbrella and are see through. They have tentacles which they use to sting.

There are different types of jellyfish like the moon jellyfish. They are found all over the world and in all the seas and oceans.

Jellyfish lay eggs which sink to the bottom of the sea and set into the sand. When they hatch they start to swim straight away but they stay by the adult jellyfish so they do not get eaten by the big fish.

They live in the sea and the float on the top of surface.
When it gets dark they go back under the water to hide.  The jellyfish is a big part of the food  chain

Partly Cloudy Writing

We have been learning to use adverbs in our writing. Here is my Partly Cloudy cameo.

Partly Cloudy

Slowly the happy birds delivered a happy surprise to the houses. The evil cloud had his own bird that took everything he made to the houses.

The bird got back but the hedgehog's arms and legs were popping out of the bag.

He was sad because the bird ran away and he placed with lining out the bottom.

One of the nice birds feathers slipped off and made the sad cloud happy because the bird came back and put on his football gear on and the sad cloud made a electric eel.

The sad cloud made a crocodile and it snapped the bird's head.

But he was not like the good clouds.

He loved his bird no matter what he made.

Writing goal

Here is my next writing goal.

I learnt you can not use skip counting to work your questions out but you can use groups of and pictures.
This is because skip counting is too easy of a strategy for me to use at my level.

Art clay pot

We did a cup to show what we would do if we were stuck in the bush. You can find clay by the river and use it to make a cup to collect water.
Here is a picture of me making my clay pot.

Sea/Moana Animals Te Reo Maori

I have been learning Maori words for sea animals, Ika/fish, Aihe/Dolphin.
I like the way I placed the Maori words under the pictures.
I don't like the way my work is not neat.

Smashed face

A good piece narrative writing. I enjoyed my awesome writing.

Smashed face

Once there lived two boys who were called Enzo and Nero. The fat one was Nero, he had black hair and he was good at rugby. He liked to play rugby at Ohaeawai club. He went to the club every morning with his Nike bag. Enzo had blonde hair and was as tall as a cupboard. Nero helped Enzo with his kicking. Nero helped Enzo to get ready for the big game on Saturday morning when the grass was as slimy as a boogey monster.

On Saturday at the game Enzo went to kick off to start the game. Boom! The ball hit Nero in the face. Woowoo woowoo the ambulance is here to save you. “Is my face ok?” Nero asked.
“Yes!” the nurse said, “you will stay in hospital for 2 days.”

Autumn Cameo

WINTER

Winter blows its cold icy breath everywhere.
The early morning frost is crunchy and white covering the green grass.#wind
The loud wind howls in the freezing air like a stray dog hungry for a bone.
Tiny snowflakes flutter down to land on the frozen ground,
come bare, brown bones standing like statues admiring the view.
Heavy rain covering everything with a white sparkling blanket.
The trees ben falls from the dark grey sky, pounding against the soggy ground.
Chilly bitterness in the air, winter is here.

Te Ahuahu

Here is my recount about our walk up TeAhuahu

Geeerrk! The bus skidded to a stop. Yay we can go now up the tall green mountain.
“Are we nearly there?” Moaned Kayne.
“We are there,” I shouted.

We had to listen to Matua Hone who told us about the mountains. It's time to go down finally, we got to the bottom and the bus took off, the stones were flying and making the road dusty. It had to do 3 loads. When we got back to school we got  a free swim.

Volcano Erupting

Bang bang steam flying out.
Red lava sliding down.
Hot stones are shooting out like gun bullets
Shh bang boom bang boom. Something just blew up. I better go and have a look.
Boom bang boom wow. Lava is chasing me.
