Here are the animals that I had to name in Maori. It was very hard to name all of them.The mango is my favourite animal.

RUGBY IN OHAEAWAI

This is my recount about rugby in Ohaeawai.

Rugby in Ohaeawai  

On Saturday morning we all went to Ohaeawai Rugby Club to play Rugby. When we all got there we got set up and then the other team came over to play us “beep!” as the horn went. They slowly ran up at our team so me and Mosese smashed them, they pushed and got a goal.  

After they got a goal it was halftime so we all went and got a nice cold water and fat juicy oranges. “Beeeeeep!”, it's time to go back on the field. When we all looked, there were a lot of big boys coming on. They were as big as elephants. We all got bowled over by them. So then I ripped the ball and zoomed to the try line, then I dashed back to the middle like Flash.

The last horn went and we all had to go and perform a haka for them to thank them for playing us. After they had done a haka we went and gave them a handshake then we all went inside the rugby club and had some nice yum food. After that I went to Kayne’s and we played on the bikes and we went eeling down in the river but we did not get an eel because it was too rough.  

After the game was done we went down and did some running around the Rugby Club field with the ball then we got bored so we went to get some friends to play with but they did not want to play what we wanted. They wanted to go and ride their bikes around Ohaeawai and they wanted to do some jumps. After that we had a race I was as fast as a cheetah, the grass waved at me as I ran.

Here is my speech about why smoking is bad.

         Smoking is bad

Smoking is bad - I will tell you why. Smoking can cause lung damage, cigarettes are expensive and second hand smoke is bad for kids.

1. Smoking is bad because it gives you lung damage.Cigarettes are full of nasty chemicals. You breathe in the smoke. And you don't know when you are breathing in the smoke and the people that smoke will get sick. Around 5000 people die each year in New Zealand because of smoking or second-hand smoke exposure. That's 13 people a day. It is not too late to quit.

2. Smoking is bad because it costs a lot of money. The Money could be spent on things you need but people just use their money so fast by buying more cigarettes. The more smoking you do the poorer you get. Smoking a pack a day costs around $8,300 per year or approximately $160 a week. This is based on pack of 20 that costs $22.80

3. Smoking is bad because kids can get sick.  If people are smoking around kids, they are surrounded by smoke fumes. It’s not their choice. So that's why people should not smoke cause you and kids can get very very sick but it's all from smoking.
