Rambo

Today we had an animals onesie day because we are fundraising for the year 1 and 2 zoo trip. Our group dressed up as Rambo, he is a man the saves the day when people need help.

This is my writing about when I played rugby in Ohaeawai. We were writing recounts about what we did on the weekends and I wanted to write about rugby. We were including similes- see if you can spot mine.

Rugby in Ohaeawai  

On Saturday morning we all went to Ohaeawai Rugby Club to play Rugby. When we all got there we got set up and then the other team came over to play us “beep!” as the horn went. They slowly ran up at our team so me and Mosese smashed them, they pushed and got a goal.  

After they got a goal it was halftime so we all went and got a nice cold water and fat juicy oranges. “Beeeeeep!”, it's time to go back on the field. When we all looked, there were a lot of big boys coming on. They were as big as elephants. We all got bowled over by them. So then I ripped the ball and zoomed to the try line, then I dashed back to the middle like Flash.

The last horn went and we all had to go and perform a haka for them to thank them for playing us. After they had done a haka we went and gave them a handshake then we all went inside the rugby club and had some nice yum food. After that I went to Kayne’s and we played on the bikes and we went eeling down in the river but we did not get an eel because it was too rough.  

After the game was done we went down and did some running around the Rugby Club field with the ball then we got bored so we went to get some friends to play with but they did not want to play what we wanted. They wanted to go and ride their bikes around Ohaeawai and they wanted to do some jumps. After that we had a race I was as fast as a cheetah, the grass waved at me as I ran.

Jellyfish

Her is a report that I did about a jellyfish.

JELLYFISH

Jellyfish are a fast animal and are part of the phylum

Cnidaria family.

Jellyfish are carnivores. The small jellyfish eat plankton. When they are hungry they get their food from under the sea. The bigger jellyfish also eat fish, crabs and shrimps.

All jellyfish come in different colours and sizes. Jelly fish are like an umbrella and are see through. They have tentacles which they use to sting.

There are different types of jellyfish like the moon jellyfish. They are found all over the world and in all the seas and oceans.

Jellyfish lay eggs which sink to the bottom of the sea and set into the sand. When they hatch they start to swim straight away but they stay by the adult jellyfish so they do not get eaten by the big fish.

They live in the sea and the float on the top of surface.

When it gets dark they go back under the water to hide.  The jellyfish is a big part of the food  chain
